La Crosse 3 @ Chicago 7 – The La Crosse Freeze allowed the Chicago Junior Bulldogs to net four goals during the second period and fell, 7-3. Chicago got the win behind a great game by Ryan Maksimovic, who had one goal and three assists. Maksimovic scored short handed 17:47 into the second period to make the score 6-2 Chicago. A hooking call on Michael Howard put the Junior Bulldogs on the penalty kill. Tyler Seltenriech provided the assist. The Junior Bulldogs forced Freeze's goaltenders to work all game long, ripping 31 shots and forcing 24 saves. Andrew Wagner made 18 stops and Cameron Scheuren made six. Chicago's goal total was higher than its season average. The Junior Bulldogs have scored at the pace of 3.3 goals per game during the current campaign. Chicago additionally got points from Seltenriech, who also had two goals and one assist, Kyle Barna, who also registered two goals and one assist, and Scott Coash Jr, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Chicago also got a goal from Matthew Adams as well. In addition, Chicago received assists from Henry Hearon, who had two and Noah Carter and Toms Taurins, who contributed one each. La Crosse 6 @ Chicago 5 – The La Crosse Freeze, who led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by the Chicago Junior Bulldogs and clinched a 6-5 victory. La Crosse led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Freeze's Justin Edwards scored at 46 seconds in the second period to put La Crosse up 4-1. Hunter Smith was all over the ice for the Freeze, as he tallied one goal and three assists in the win. Smith scored 17:24 into the third period to make the score 6-5 La Crosse. Taylor Trapp assisted on the tally. La Crosse additionally got points from Jake Lipski, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Ben Henderson, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for La Crosse included Jared Bromberg and Austin Moser, who each put in one. In addition, La Crosse received assists from Jace Cseter and Daniel Toycen, who each chipped in one. Chicago was helped by Scott Coash Jr, who had one goal. Coash Jr scored 3:43 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Chicago. Scott Schroeder provided the assist.
