Former Bulldog Young debuts with NOJHL team

    Matt Young, who played goal for the 2012-13 Bulldogs made the final roster of the Blind River Beavers of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League, a junior A league in Canada.

    Young played in 36 regular season games for the Bulldogs last season, posting a record of 11-10 with a 3.35 GAA. The Kingsley, N.B. native also won one of two starts in postseason play.

    Currently, Young is 2-0 with a GAA of 2.0 and .944 SV%. In his team’s opening weekend, he made 43 saves in a victory over Elliot Lake on Saturday. He stopped 24 shots as his Beavers beat the North Bay Trappers 4-2 on Sunday.
