Chicago 2 @ Peoria 4 (Peoria leads best of three series, 1-0) – Marc Hayton gets the win in net for Peoria with 25 saves to take game 1. Peoria gets on the board first with a goal from Gage Van Order. In the 2nd Chicago gets on the board with a power play goal from Luke Morin. Marshall Gevers gets Peoria its second goal of the night but Chicago counters with a goal from Toms Taurins. In the 3rd Joshua Hart gets Peoria its third goal of the night and Sam Turner finishes the game off with an empty netter.
Chicago 3 @ Peoria 7 (Peoria wins best of three series, 2-0) – Peoria takes the series with a 7-3 win in game 2. Peoria starts the scoring off early with a goal from Nathan Chasteen. Chicago counters with a power play goal from Joey Marvin to tie the game up but Peoria gets another from Blake Ortman before the period ends. In the 2nd, Peoria tacks on another 3 goals from Hart, Anderson, and Murphy and Chicago gets one from Maksimovic. Assists on the play come from Wachal and Blaszkiewicz. In the 3rd Chicago gets a short handed goal from Godfrey. Peoria adds on 2 more during power plays before the game ends. Marc Hayton gets the win in net with 37 saves.
With Saturday\’s loss to Peoria, the Bulldogs were eliminated from the NA3HL playoffs, ending Chicago\’s season. The organization now shifts focus to its offseason programs, beginnning with the spring skates that start on April 16. Tryouts begin June 21 with the team\’s final camp taking place August 8-10.
